Meester-beeldhouwer en medewerker van Michel Hoeken, Sint-Gangulfusplein. Huwde met zijn nicht Elders van Weert en later met Balken van Breukelen. Kerkmeubilair, o.a. preekstoel te Boninne naar ontwerp architect Blandot 1875. Biechtstoelen Seminariekerk Sint-Truiden (verbrand). Lid toezichtscommissie Tekenschool (1897).
Signering o.a. neogotisch altaar uit Sint-Truiden. nu Fabry Zepperen M. HOEKEN G. JANSEN SCULPTEURS St. TROND.
